Getting to Anacortes without a car
GETTING TO ANACORTES WITHOUT A CAR:
The nearest bus/train station is in Mount Vernon. There is both Greyhound and Amtrak.
From there to get to Anacortes you must take the SKAT bus. Here is the route. It only costs 75 cents! but the downside is that it is kind of infrequent.
If you are flying into Sea-Tac airport there is a very convenient shuttle that drops you off like 300 feet from the Department of Safety. Here is the schedule. You want to get off at the stop called “Anacortes Shell”. It might be a good idea to book in advance.
